Crystal Baze-Barney is the Founder and Managing Director of Journey Business Accounting (JBA), a boutique firm specializing in nonprofit, construction, and small business accounting. With over 15 years of experience, Crystal leads a mission-driven practice committed to helping organizations build strong financial foundations, maintain transparency, and support sustainable growth.

Crystal is a Certified Public Accountant and a Licensed Consultant with the Standards for Excellence Institute, a project of Maryland Nonprofits. She brings a deep understanding of fund accounting, compliance, and strategic operations—particularly for organizations undergoing growth or recovery. Her approach blends technical expertise with a relationship-centered philosophy that puts clients first.

JBA offers a full suite of services, including monthly bookkeeping, financial reporting, budgeting, grant tracking, audit preparation, and business consulting. To ensure every client’s needs are met with excellence, JBA has built a growing team of Certified Accountants and Certified Bookkeepers who work collaboratively to deliver timely, accurate, and insightful support.
